
Tusolma - Tusolma (Vetali) was the main protector of Marpa Lotsawa whose name means literally “smoke consuming mother”. This mahakali (feminine form of mahakala) torma stands about 11 inches (28 cm) and is about 3.5 inches (9 cm) across the base. There is no retinue with this torma. $350

White Mahakala - White Mahakala is a protector in the Karma Kagyu lineage and is an emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. White Mahakala is associated with the alleviation of poverty and removing obstacles to the accumulation of wealth as a support for dharma practice. This torma stands about 15 inches high and the crown ornament—the widest part of the torma—is 6 inches (15 cm) across. $400

Six Armed Mahakala - Six Armed Mahakala (Nyingshuk) is widely practiced in the Tibetan Buddhist lineages—particularly by the Shangpa Kagyu. The practice is said to have originated with Kyungpo Nyaljor, the founder of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage. This elaborate torma with a retinue of five stands about 15 inches (38 cm) in height and the entire torma mandala with retinue is about 12 inches (30.5 cm) across. $650

Chagshipa - The Chagshipa (Four Armed Mahakala) torma is for the protector primarily associated with yidam Chakrasamvara. This torma is needed for the Chakrasamvara group practice (druppa) conducted in retreat. It would be considered optional for group or individual forms of Chakrasamvara practice done out of retreat, and is not required for individual Chakrasamvara retreats. It stands about 13 inches (33cm) high and about 3.5 inches (9 cm) across the base. There is no retinue with this torma. $390
