This torma--often referred to as the Dorje Phagmo torma—is used in the feast offering and retreat practices of the Sadhana of Vajrayogini, composed by the sixth Karmapa Thongwa Tonden. There are five tormas in the set. The central torma is elaborately ornamented, stands about 13 inches high (33 cm) with four retinue tormas in the cardinal directions. The entire torma mandala measures about 9 inches across (22 cm). The top and side ornaments of the central torma are detachable for easy packaging and transport.
